Application & Placement Process — Companion Care (Elder Care, Special Needs, Adult Care)

Our Goal
We match compassionate, highly screened companions with families and individuals seeking dependable, high-quality non-medical care and support for older adults and adults with special needs. Our process is professional, personalized, and designed to find the best fit for your unique care needs.

Step 1 — Submit Application and Intake Form

Start your journey by completing our Companion Care Intake Form.
This helps us understand the individual’s care needs, personality, preferences, daily routines, schedules, and any special considerations such as mobility, cognitive support, errands, and social engagement.

Once submitted:

  • You will receive confirmation and next steps

  • We will schedule an intake consultation

  • A placement agreement and terms will be sent for review

  • A deposit may be required to begin the placement process

Step 2 — Intake Consultation

A Care Coordinator will conduct a detailed phone or video consultation to learn what matters most in your companion match, including:

  • Daily care expectations

  • Personal preferences and interests

  • Transportation or mobility support needs

  • Special needs background, if applicable

  • Scheduling and availability

  • Budget and compensation considerations

This consultation helps us tailor our search and candidate screening to your exact needs. Typical consultation length is 45 to 60 minutes.

Step 3 — Placement Search Begins

Once the intake is complete, we begin the active companion search on your behalf. This includes:

  • Sourcing and screening caregivers with experience in non-medical adult care

  • Reviewing background check results and driving records

  • Verifying references and suitability for your unique situation

  • Presenting you with qualified companion profiles

You will receive candidate profiles as they become available so you are not waiting unnecessarily.

Step 4 — Interviews and Match Selection

You and your family or representative will have one or more interviews with selected candidates, either in person or virtually.

We help coordinate:

  • Video or phone interviews

  • In-person meet and greets

  • Trial companion visits, which are optional but recommended

Our goal is comfort and alignment, not speed, so you feel confident in your selection.

Step 5 — Final Placement and Onboarding

Once you select a companion:

  • We prepare and customize your Care Agreement

  • We assist with offer details and compensation discussions

  • We coordinate signing of all required paperwork

  • We provide care orientation materials and support

Your companion may not start until all agreements are signed and onboarding is complete.
